What’s in My Bag?

What's in my bag?

Everything I own fits in here!

As I’ve been preparing for my big trip, what is on my packing list has probably caused the most amount of stress. Reducing my life to that of a 46 liter backpack and a small daybag is a complicated task. Here is what’s in my bag – every last item I’m taking around the world, along with some fun videos demonstrating how I fit it all into my pack.

Note: Occasionally, I’ll use affiliate links for products and services that I use and recommend. If you purchase these through my website with this link, the price will stay the same to you and I get a percentage as a commission. Additionally, if there is anything you usually purchase on Amazon, please start your purchases with this Amazon link. This is a way to support me so I can keep sharing stories from around the world. Thank you!

Osprey Porter 46 – A great all around pack that has gotten me through two tours of Europe. It is small enough to qualify as a carry-on even with the strictest of airlines.

Timbuk2 Espionage Camera Backpack – This is my camera/computer daypack. It is made by a great company that I’ve used for many years and is also the current bag of choice for award-winning travel photographer Gary Arndt.

I’m a huge nerd, and as such, this is the category I’ve spend the most time on in my pre-trip prep. One of the main focuses of my trip will be taking photos and posting them to this site. So I will need to have my photo gear and laptop in order.
